Giuseppe Scapellato is an NHS Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist, based in Battersea and Clapham Junction, London. He helps his clients and patients through science-based nutritional medicine, providing specialist nutrition input for weight management, digestive well-being, heart health, malnutrition, skin, bones and joints health.
What is a Dietitian?
Registered Dietitians are very often referred to as the ‘Gold Standard’ when it comes to nutrition and food professionals. Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by law, and are governed by an ethical code to ensure that they always work to the highest stand
Dietitians are the only qualified health professionals that assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems at an individual and wider public health level. They work with both healthy and sick people. Uniquely, dietitians use the most up-to-date public health and scientific research on food, health and disease which they translate into practical guidance to enable people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices.
They often work as integral members of multi-disciplinary teams to treat complex clinical conditions such as diabetes, food allergy and intolerance, IBS syndrome, chronic fatigue, malnutrition, kidney failure and bowel disorders. Dietitians also advise on diet to avoid the side effects and interactions between medications.

A “quick diet check”. Complete a 3-day food diary to best assess your starting point, identifying calories, vitamins and mineral levels, carbs, fat and protein intake. You will receive a list of foods to boost your health and adjust the nutrients levels in your diet.
